Nicky Whitford - ABA Therapist
Nicky is an experienced and dedicated indvidual who has many years of experience working within the special needs field. Nicky worked within Government of Jersey's Day Services, initially as a Support Worker, completing NVQ's Level 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care, and then worked her way up to become a Personnel Development Instructor. Nicky would co-ordinate daily activities, devise and implement individualised session plans, support individuals in developing social and communication skills, daily living skills and worked with individuals who required intensive support. Nicky has extensive knowledge and experience around autism and has a diploma in 'Advanced Autism Awareness' (Centre of Excellence) and completed an Autism ABA Early Learner Course (Dr Mary Lynch Barbera) and has undertaken a variety of courses around ABA through 'The Institute for Behavioural Training'. Nicky has also completed and passed the first part of the RBT (Registered Behavioural Technician) qualification through (Queens University). Nicky has experienced the huge benefits of ABA therapy on a personal level. Nicky has a passion for improving the well being of individuals and would like to be part of promoting ABA access to other families in Jersey.
